Vivica A. Fox is getting transparent on exactly how she slimmed down for her role in the legendary film, “Kill Bill: Volume 1.” And what she said might just surprise you.

Speaking in a new interview with the popular online platform Cocoa Butter, Fox reminisced on some of her most iconic roles throughout her TV and film career. When the topic of the iconic aforementioned 2003 film came up, Fox shared that preparing for the role of Vernita Green was “crazy” and likened getting ready for the physical stunts (which she did herself—mostly) to training like a professional athlete. As a result, she went dropped not one, not two, but three to four dress sizes.

“This whole thing, this was six months of training. Six months. I literally went from like a size 8/10 down to a size 2. I couldn’t even hold onto the weight,” she explained. “I thought we were training for the damn Olympics or something, it was crazy. But then when I saw how tight and right my body looked, it was quite rewarding. So, Quentin, thanks for the great bod. Appreciate that!”

“I am so comfortable in the skin that I’m in. I am so at peace with turning 60. I mean, a lot of people are like, ‘Oh my God,’ but I feel like I’m going to be sizzling at 60, even sexier at 70 and awesome at 80, Lord willing,” she said.
