However, the GOP presidential candidate has his own history of racist commentary.

Vivek Ramaswamy’s glaring hypocrisy—in addition to his inherently disgusting nature—becomes more apparent with each passing day. On Sunday, the GOP presidential candidate took to X/Twitter to condemn Donna Brazile’s recent appearance on Friday’s episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

He said that Brazile “intentionally mispronounced” his name to be racist. Ramaswamy wants folks to be enraged, which is difficult to do since he’s used anti-Black commentary as the cornerstone of his campaign.

Brazile sat alongside host Bill Maher and former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) as she mispronounced Ramaswamy’s name. She followed it up by saying that he “needs to shut the hell up and go home.” Maher, who has his own history of racist commentary, told Brazile that Ramaswamy’s name should be said correctly.

“I just feel like there’s something wrong with everybody refusing to learn to say his name,” Maher commented. “I just feel there’s a little racism there.”

In response, Ramaswamy said on X: “I wonder what they’d do if a white Republican intentionally mispronounced Donna’s name & then told her to return ‘home.’” The answer to that is nothing, but okay Vivek...go off.

His communications director and senior adviser, Tricia McLaughlin, told The Daily Mail that Brazile’s actions proved that reverse racism is racism—even though it literally is not.

“Reverse racism is racism. If that were a white Republican they would be fired and torn to shreds on cable TV,” McLaughlin said. “Donna will probably get an ‘atta boy’ from her colleagues. Gross.”

Ramaswamy and his team are up in arms over his name being said incorrectly, but in the past he has stated that white supremacists don’t exist, compared Rep. Ayanna Pressley to “modern grand wizards” of the Ku Klux Klan and called America’s education system a “modern ghetto system.”

He also infamously attempted to explain to former CNN anchor Don Lemon what it’s like to live as a Black person in America. If Ramaswamy wants folks to take racism allegations against him seriously, maybe he shouldn’t be such a vile—and racist—human being.
