What happens when a busload of white female Virginia Tech lacrosse players get hyped off a Chris Brown-and-Lil Dicky song? They go full “Freaky Friday” and start saying “nigga.”

Because of course they do.

Two weeks ago, Lil Dicky and Chris Brown released their own version of “Freaky Friday,” and the video included body swapping. Dicky became the human dick himself, Brown, and Brown became Dicky. In the song, Dicky (in Brown’s body) wonders if he can say “nigga,” and sure enough he does.

So of course, as they were heading back from a winning game, the women went full Becky and also said the word. And filmed it.

Because of course they did.

In response to the girl’s video, the team’s coach, John Sung, said that the women didn’t sing the song with malice (he forgot to say that they sang it with stupidity) and said it was a “teachable moment,” according to the Roanoke Times. He added:

It’s not something that we’re proud of. The team is very apologetic and sorry.

There’s nobody of any color that should say it. Period. There’s nobody that should say it.

And this:

They had just won. They’re singing songs. The first couple songs were Disney songs. … They were celebrating and they were dancing and they were excited.

They’re good kids that made a bad decision.

Will the players get disciplined? Sung said they’re “working through everything still.”

That sounds like a no.
