Death Row Records founder and rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was shot Saturday night at the popular 1OAK club in West Hollywood, Calif., while attending a pre-MTV Video Music Awards party hosted by Chris Brown. The incident, which was caught on video and posted on Instagram, shows the crowd, as well as Brown, scrambling to get away from the gunfire.

According to TMZ, "A source close to Suge tells us … he was shot in the stomach and arm and apparently in other places as well… Suge walked out on his own power … a cop spotted him and walked the rap mogul to the police car, where Suge sat. Suge was then put in an ambulance and taken to a local hospital." Knight was shot six times, and is currently recovering in the intensive care unit.

TMZ added that Knight was one of three victims, and before the shooting, rapper the Game was also in an altercation outside the club because he couldn't get in. People have speculated the shooting was Crips-related, because Knight, Brown and the Game allegedly have ties to the infamous gang.
