Joey Bada$$ recently got into a fight with someone who fans assumed was friends with the “1999” rapper.
In security footage shared on Tuesday, Joey gets into an altercation with a man at a clothing store in the New York area. Initially, the two men are seen arguing for a few seconds before Joey pulls the other man’s hoodie over his head and throws a couple of punches.
Although a security guard attempts to break the two up, they continue to throw punches until the video cuts off when the fight goes to the ground.

DeeKnows, a former member of Joey’s hip-hop collective Pro Era, has claimed to be the other man in the video. In a now-deleted post on Instagram, he wrote a lengthy message attacking the Brooklyn rapper, calling him a “piece of s**t” and blaming Joey for the 2012 suicide of beloved Pro Era member Capital STEEZ.
“All them push up and boxing lesson to still get punched in ya mouth and choked out,” he wrote in the post. “I ain’t gonna front though Bodyguard a real one he was finna let me do it to you n allat.”
He continued, “@joeybadass you come to MY S**T thinking you that!!! YOU WANNA BE TUFF SO BAD, YOU ARE and will never be that so take off the costume and cut the cosplay & go crash out cause you have no friends left Go crash out cause all ya peoples is hurting emotionally spiritually.”
DeeKnows ended his social media rant by attacking Joey and his mother. “Joey Softass You a Hoe and a Snake & the brows know the real even after 12 years are still too ashamed to admit it smh RIP MY BROTHER!! CAPITAL STEEZ!!!!!!! Crash out cause he took his OWN LIFE because you & YOUR MOTHER!”
