Why Black-Owned Businesses Face Bigger Risks in a Global Trade War

In an uncomfortably heated interview, CNN’s Soledad O’Brien hammered Ron Paul on this morning’s Starting Point over a deleted snarky tweet that was directed at fellow opponent Jon Huntsman. “There was this tweet that I saw last night because I follow you on Twitter,” O’Brien explained. “And it said Ron Paul says, ‘@jonhuntsman we found your one Iowa voter. He’s in Linn precinct 5 you might want to call him and say thanks.’ “

Paul appeared flummoxed by her question.

“I didn’t quite understand even what you just read, but, obviously, I didn’t send it. So, I don’t even understand. I’m sorry, I didn’t catch the whole message there about Jon Huntsman. I haven’t talked about Jon Huntsman in a long time. I don’t know what’s going on there.

O’Brien pushed back, asking him who managed his Twitter account. But Paul just kept insisting that he was clueless and that the whole inquiry was irrelevant. Check out the video, courtesy of CNN, here.

Is it just us, or does the whole “I have no idea what you’re talking about and I’m going to get irritable if you suggest that I should know what you’re taking about” response remind you of the way Paul reacted to questions about the newsletters with racist content that were published under his name? When it comes to statements from which this candidate would like to distance himself, we’re starting to see a pattern.
