In a heated exchange about Jodi Kantor's new book, The Obamas, Soledad O'Brien questioned the author on CNN's Starting Point about how she could write a book about the inner workings of the Obamas' marriage without having interviewed them.
The theme of the exchange was O'Brien's inquiry, "So, you'd covered them, but you really hadn't interviewed them since 2009. Is there something about telling someone's story of their personal relationship of a marriage … that's a little unfair if you haven't interviewed the people in the marriage?" Kantor's responded that she had reliable sources and that Michelle will have a chance to give her own point of view on her marriage in her memoirs. Watch the exchange here, courtesy of CNN.
