In an interview with the Los Angels Times, Magic Johnson expresses regret over his 1991 decision to retire immediately after he learned that he had contracted HIV.
"If I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have retired," he says.
He also discusses the betrayal he felt when some of his fellow players expressed an unwillingness to play against him because they were afraid of contracting the virus.
