This weekend, scores of black and brown bloggers and those who are interested in blogging have been meeting in Los Angeles at the 2011 Blogging While Brown conference to network, share best practices and explore the power of their voices online. The Root is there (we organized a panel on journalistic advice for bloggers), and we'll bring you a recap of the conference on Monday, as well as a video or two of notables sharing their experiences at the event.

In the meantime, here's a video clip of yesterday's highlights at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott, shot and uploaded to YouTube by Debra Jones of D. Jones Productions. If you're in a "Where's Waldo?" kind of mood, wait until around the 1:55 mark when actress and comedian Kim Coles, a presenter at tonight's Black Weblog Awards, is speaking. Behind her you'll see The Root's managing editor, Joel Dreyfuss, and its deputy editor (me — well, my back, anyway).
