Venus Williams Pulls Out of French Open

Venus Williams has not recovered from an abdominal injury, so she will not compete in the French Open. This year's French Open will be the first grand slam event since 2003 that neither of the Williams sisters will compete in.

Serena Williams is recovering from a pulmonary embolism and a foot injury.

The French Open begins on May 22, and Vesna Dolonts will replace Venus in the draw.
