Honestly, is it really that hard to just see people and leave them alone? The answer is apparently a “yes” for 35-year-old Robin McGreer of McLean, Va., who, according to authorities, is facing hate crime charges after allegedly biting another man’s face during a November confrontation in which he allegedly used anti-Muslim slurs.
According to the Washington Post, McGreer approached the 31-year-old victim at the Tyson’s Corner Center mall and started a conversation before threatening the man using anti-Muslim slurs. The confrontation escalated and McGreer bit the man in his face, leaving a “significant face wound,” officials said. Then the coward fled the scene before police arrived.
The victim, who remains unidentified, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Fairfax County police cited departmental policy prohibiting the release of details about victim’s backgrounds and so declined to describe the victim’s race or religion.
However, police did catch up with McGreer on Monday and charged him with bias-related malicious bodily injury.
