Fresh off his popular Las Vegas residency and 2024 Super Bowl performance announcement, Usher continues to have the best year ever. The legendary R&B singer has now teamed up with BTS’ Jung Kook for the remix of his single “Standing Next To You.”
The pair teased a clip on TikTok where they are in a warehouse and start dancing to Usher’s 2004 smash hit “Yeah!” Junk Kook increased excitement for the collaboration by adding the hashtag “StayTuned.”
The K-pop star released the remix of “Standing Next To You”earlier this month. It is just one of the songs from his debut solo album “Golden,” which also features cameos from Latto (“Seven”) and Jack Harlow (“3D”). In addition, Justin Timberlake appears on the remix to “3D.”
The new video starts with Jung Kook and his friends dancing to the “Standing Next To You,” with the singer donning black pants and a matching vest over a simple white T-shirt. The moves pay homage to Michael Jackson.
It’s not long before Usher enters the building in all black and sporting his infamous “U” medallion. Recently, Jung Kook shared that he would be the latest member of BTS to start his mandatory South Korean military service with another group member, Jimin.
This news means all seven members of the famed group have enlisted or is getting ready to enlist. Additionally, BTS are expected to return from a break in 2025. Meanwhile, Usher is preparing for his 2024 Super Bowl halftime 13-minute performance.
The event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Feb. 11—the same day he is scheduled to release his ninth studio album “Coming Home.” The world will definitely be watching.
