When you’re in dire need of some McDonald’s nuggets, forget about waiting patiently for the artery-clogging fried chicken pieces of deliciousness. One woman in Waco, Texas, couldn’t wait a minute longer for her nuggets, and decided to waste taxpayers’ money by calling the police to intervene.
Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said that because of the delayed nuggets, the woman wanted her bite-size chicken parts free of charge. And when the McDonald’s refused to give them to her, she got angry and refused to leave the drive-thru window.
The Waco Police Department’s Facebook page posted about the incident: “Yes it happens!! We actually had the chicken nugget call last night!
“Officers called to a restaurant drive-thru because a customer was mad her nuggets didn’t get cooked quick enough and why she couldn’t get them for free,” Sgt. Swanton continued in the post.
Coincidentally, as the irate nugget craver was calling, so was an employee of the restaurant.
In the end, the woman was eventually sent on her merry way without her processed bits of chicken breast in hand. But she did receive her money back. Of course, if she were a true nugget connoisseur, she would have gone to Wendy’s instead.
