After four years of us getting our lives, six seconds at a time, Twitter announced Thursday that it will be shuttering Vine for good. No reason was given, but the announcement came just hours after the social media company announced that it was cutting 9 percent of its jobs.
For those who have been under a rock for the last four years, Vine is a video service that allowed users to upload six-second videos that can be played on a loop.
The infamous “Who You Finna Try?” video is one of the more popular Vine videos, with more than 1.2 million views to date.
Twitter says that the Vine website will stay online to showcase the videos that have already been made, and we are thankful for that, because where would we be without those epic “Do it for the Vine” videos?
