How come our president had nothing to say for days about soldiers killed in the deadliest combat mission during his time in office but butts his tangerine nose into the most inane shit?

As gutter prophet Kanye West once said, “You worry ’bout the wrong things, Trump don’t care about black people. the wrong things ... ” (or somesuch).

The Washington Post reports that President Donald Trump personally asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to help resolve the case of three UCLA men’s basketball players who were arrested for shoplifting in high-end stores while in China last week, and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the conversation.

Trump arrived a day after the three players—guard LiAngelo Ball, brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball, and forwards Cody Riley and Jalen Hill—were accused of stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store next to the team’s hotel.

As reported earlier by The Root, the players did not play in the game they came to China for against Georgia Tech in Shanghai; nor did they fly home with the team.

Xi reportedly promised to look into the case and ensure that the players are treated fairly and expeditiously, the Post reports.

Chief of staff John F. Kelly has been in touch with the families of the players and spoken with UCLA coach Steve Alford, and Kelly remains in contact with Chinese authorities, the official added.
