The Daily Show will soon have a new host sitting in Jon Stewart’s old seat. Comedy Central announced on Twitter that Trevor Noah’s first show will air Sept. 28. In March the network announced that the South African comic would replace Stewart after 16 years. Noah, who was a correspondent on the show, felt backlash after the network announced his “hire,” but it seems to have subsided, and he’s readying himself for his new adventure.

In the tweet announcing Noah’s start date, an accompanying video hilariously shows the new host getting acclimated to the set.

@Trevornoah starts his new job September 28. Late night will NEVER BE THE SAME. Or maybe it will. Watch to find out,” the tweet stated.

Stewart’s last night as host of The Daily Show will be Aug. 6, and many of his fans will certainly miss him. Noah’s takeover of the show definitely marks a new beginning, so it’ll be interesting to see how he’s received by Stewart’s longtime viewers, as well as the ratings he garners.
