It’s been a long road toward recovery for Tracy Morgan, more than a year after being involved in a tragic accident with a Wal-Mart tractor-trailer that left comedian James McNair dead. Morgan’s recovery has left many people questioning whether he’ll return to television. A recent Deadline article sheds light on that return.
According to Deadline, FX network executives are fully supporting Morgan’s return and have started to develop the unnamed series that was shelved after Morgan’s accident.
“We know he wants to do it,” FX Networks CEO John Landgraf told Deadline, reiterating the company’s commitment to the series and Morgan’s recovery. “We continue to work on developing the script,” said FX President of Original Programming Eric Schrier.
But is Morgan ready to return? The actor has recently been spotted out with his family at such places as Disney World and seems to be more active. On Thursday, as he was parking his Lamborghini in New York City, a TMZ cameraperson asked if he was getting back to comedy soon.
“I never left,” Morgan responded.
Those words are probably music to the ears of Morgan’s fans.
