Torey Lanez is not going down quietly. Just a day after Megan Thee Stallion filed a restraining order against Lanez, claiming that he is harassing her from behind bars, the controversial Canadian artist is firing back.

In legal documents that were released on Wednesday, Lanez’s attorneys accuse Megan of not being truthful about her accusations, writing, “In regard to the ridiculous claim that a writ of habeas corpus was actually filed prior to the release of Ms. Pete’s documentary in an attempt to undermine her work is ludicrous, we would like to point out that appellate courts impose strict timelines for when filings and responses must occur.”

“Are the accusers now suggesting that the courts are trying to disrupt Ms. Pete’s documentary? Our client, Mr. Peterson, was simply complying with those legal deadlines, as required by the courts,” the letter concludes.

The statement also urged the public not to “jump to conclusions” after Megan’s attorneys showed receipts of $3,000 paid to blogger Milagra Gramz, who the rapper claims is working with Lanez to post misinformation about the “Bigger In Texas” rapper on social media and the case that resulted in the Canadian singer being sentenced to 10 years in prison.

On Tuesday, Megan’s attorneys filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court, asking a judge to stop Lanez from hiring other people to harass the Houston rapper online.

Per the Associated Press, the petition read, “Even now, while behind bars, Mr. Peterson shows no signs of stopping. Despite being sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Ms. Pete, Mr. Peterson continues to to subject her to repeated trauma and revictimization.”

Last week, Megan’s attorneys made similar allegations against Lanez, claiming to have access to call logs that hear Torey and his father talking about working with Milagra Gramz to spread lies about Megan.

On the alleged phone calls, “the Petersons confidently asserted that Ms. Pete would be unable to prove that Mr. Peterson paid Defendant for attacking Ms. Pete,” according to legal documents.

Keep in mind, that this restraining order has not been made official, and a hearing for the order is scheduled to take place on Jan. 9.
