Wednesday night's broadcast of the Bravo network's Top Chef Masters featured the last three contestants of the reality-television competition: Marcus Samuelson, Susur Lee and Rick Moonen. The final episode of the season spelled out victory for Samuelson, the famous chef and restaurateur whose closing dish was a smoked char, salt-cured duck with foie gras flan, and hamachi meatball. The Wall Street Journal's "Speakeasy" blog offers a full-plate recap of the entire episode:

Predictably, the vast majority of the dishes presented look amazing. The judges — who are joined by regular Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio and the top three finalists from last season of Top Chef Masters — are wowed by most of the food, but ultimately pick Marcus as the winner, who is awarded $100,000 for his charity, the UNICEF Tap Project. The competition was close, however — Marcus scored a 17.5 over Moonen and Lee's 17 points.
