Tiffany Haddish, who stars in Girls Trip, is getting much attention after the movie’s spectacular weekend release. But her most recent interview with the Los Angeles Times has some people raising their brows.
Haddish was asked which comedians she drew inspiration from, and one of them happened to be Pill Cosby—I mean, Bill Cosby.
“Definitely Richard Pryor,” Haddish says. “Bill Cosby—I still want to work with Bill Cosby; I don’t care, I’ll drink the juice. I’ll drink the juice. I’ll take a nap. I don’t give a damn. [Laughs.] But seriously, I would love for him to play my grandfather in something.”
Some may find it odd that a woman could even want to work with Cosby, given that 40-plus women have made sexual assault and drugging allegations against him over the last couple of decades. Cosby’s Pennsylvania sexual assault case resulted in a mistrial in June, but he’s headed back to court in a few months.
I guess if Haddish gets a chance to work with Cosby, she should probably keep her beverages under a watchful eye—allegedly.
