Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new lawsuits filed by three male anonymous plaintiffs accusing the rap mogul of sexual assault. The allegations eerily parallel the other lawsuits that have come before him.
The John Does are being represented by attorney Thomas Giuffra, who filed the three lawsuits in the New York Supreme Court. The alleged rapes and sexual assaults occurred between 2019 and 2022.
3 New John Doe Lawsuits
In one lawsuit, the plaintiff told NBC News he was a longtime employee of Combs. His suit says he met Combs at a New York Hotel in 2020 to discuss money he was owed for an “off-the-books” job. However, upon entering the room, Combs served him a drink. After two minutes, the man said he felt very sleepy. By the time he became conscious, he said he woke to Combs raping him, per NBC.
When he tried telling him to stop, the man recalled Combs responding, “Just stop moving, I’m almost done,” the man told NBC.
The next John Doe said in his lawsuit that he met Combs at a club in Manhattan in 2019 after being invited by Combs’ security to join them for an “exclusive afterparty” at the Park Hyatt hotel - the same hotel where he was ultimately arrested for federal sex crime charges. Similar to the other complainant, the John Doe accused Combs of giving him a drug-spiked drink causing him to lose consciousness. He then he alleged he woke to the rapper raping him on the sofa.
The man claimed he remembered seeing a man and woman sitting on the bed recording the incident, per NBC’s report. The following morning, the suit says he was given $2,500 from the man who recorded, saying it was from Combs.
In the next lawsuit, the plaintiff claimed he was invited by one of Combs’ colleagues at Bad Boy Records to go to one of the rapper’s mansion parties in East Hampton, Ny. There, the suit says he too fell victim to the effects of a drugged drink. As he faded in and out of consciousness, the suit alleges Combs and his record label associates took turns sexually assaulting him and raping him.
None of the plaintiffs, like the others, decided to speak up sooner in fear of retaliation allegedly threatened by Combs.
“They’re afraid that one night, somebody affiliated with him, hired by him, could end their life,” said attorney Giuffra, via NBC News.
A Laundry List of Lawsuits
These allegations are the most recent to come against the rapper, though, even more are expected to come in. Tony Buzbee said in an Oct. 1 press conference that he’s representing 120 individuals — men and women — who claimed to have been drugged, sexually assaulted, raped or threatened by Combs.
Some claimed to have been minors at the time of the incident, including a 13-year-old girl who claimed both Combs and rapper Jay-Z assaulted her. Out of the pool, over a dozen anonymous plaintiffs have filed their lawsuits, per court records.
Many of the suits, filed since 2023, have been civil. However, Combs faces criminal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution in federal court. He has pleaded not guilty, and was denied bail.
