Netflix gave subscribers in nearly 200 countries a halftime gift during its first NFL Christmas Gameday livestream when Beyoncé performed for the halftime show during the game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. In true Queen Bey fashion, she rode into her hometown NRG stadium on a white horse and performed a medley of songs from her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” with guests including Shaboozey and her daughter, Blue Ivy. And there were no technical glitches, unlike the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul fight.

But while even non-football fans were all in for the “Beyoncé Bowl,” one person who was less than impressed with the nearly 13-minute show was the Founder and CEO of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy. He made his opinion on her performance plain on social media, claiming the GRAMMY-award-winning artist hasn’t been worth the hype since leaving Destiny’s Child in 2006.

“Beyoncé has been LOST since Destinys Child,” Portnoy wrote in a Christmas Day post-performance post on X.

Portnoy’s reaction referenced a Feb. 12, 2023 post he dropped on the platform in response to Rihanna’s 2023 Super Bowl halftime show in which he wrote, “Rihanna > Beyoncé. Not particularly close.”

In less than 24 hours, Portnoy’s post received nearly two million views. And because he’s talking about Bey, you already know the comment section is lit.

Some are coming at the businessman for trying to come for the Queen.

“You people are still mad she is doing country songs,” wrote someone in the comments.

Others, however, agreed that Bey is not at her best these days.

“It’s just really zero competition. Not a single good song since single ladies,” wrote another commenter.

Another commenter tried to cosign Portnoy’s opinion with a “witty” post. It’s just too bad the person got their Black girl groups mixed up.

“She should have stuck to the rivers and the lakes she was used to,” they wrote.
