Love Serena? Love Poshmark? Well, consignment lovers, your day just got made, because the fashion-loving Serena Williams just joined the social commerce marketplace’s board of directors—and has placed some of her designer goods up for sale!

Serena Williams Joins Poshmark

“The more I learned about the company, the more I learned, like, ‘Wow, this is literally me,’” Williams says of her decision to join the board of the popular site, where she admits she’s traditionally been more of a buyer than a seller.

“Poshmark was built by a community of strong, independent women just like Serena Williams,” said Manish Chandra, founder & CEO of Poshmark. “As both our company and community continue to grow, it’s important that we bring smart and diverse new voices to the table, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about what the future holds with Serena in our corner.”

“Poshmark is disrupting retail by making shopping and selling social again, and I love working with a company that gives anyone an opportunity to become an entrepreneur,” said Williams. “I’m also excited for the community to shop my Posh Closet for Charity, which will benefit a cause that’s very important to me.”

That cause is the Yetunde Price Resource Center (YPRCLA), the nonprofit Williams founded in the aftermath of her older sister’s 2003 shooting death. The organization “offers trauma-informed programs that promote individual and community-wide healing and resiliency,” according to a statement.
