On Thursday, two of rap’s pioneers—Black Thought of the legendary Roots crew and Method Man of the mighty Wu-Tang Clan—appeared on Sway in the Morning to promote HBO’s new series The Deuce, in which they both play pimps (eh).

Thankfully, in their real day jobs as two of the best emcees who ever did it, though, Meth and Thought did not fail to drop oodles of hot bars on that millennial ass.

For almost five minutes the two seasoned rappers kept the cipher hot, over the instrumental of J.I.D’s “Never,” with little ditties from the “legendary Roots Crew-Tang.”
