For the last couple of weeks, rumors have been circulating that legendary soul singer Stevie Wonder was expecting triplets with his girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy. Wonder, 64, and Bracy, 40, who have been together since his divorce in 2012, have a 1-year-old. But Wonder confirmed on Wednesday that they are not having triplets.

“The truth is, we’re going to have a wonderful daughter, being born in December. Her name is going to be Nia, which means purpose,” Wonder stated on a recent episode of The View.

He went on to say, “Rumors spread, and like I said in the song ‘Superstition’: When you believe in things you don’t understand, you suffer.”

Wonder already has eight children ranging in age from 1 to 39, and Bracy has two. In addition to welcoming a new baby into his household, Wonder is also busy embarking on his new tour, Songs in the Key of Life, which kicks off Nov. 6 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden and ends on Dec. 5 at Oakland, Calif.’s Oracle Arena.

Needless to say, he’ll have his hands full this winter.
