The Wiz Live! eased itself on down the road Thursday night, drawing in 11.1 million viewers in the process, TVLine reports, and doing NBC a solid by beating out the last live musical the network aired a year ago: Peter Pan Live!
It didn't beat out NBC's highest-rated live musical, The Sound of Music Live!, but the African-American ensemble cast got much love from folks on social media who were enthralled by the production.
