When you talk trash and can’t back it up when it matters, you end up looking like Raven-Symoné did after getting her wig snatched on television.

During Monday’s episode of The View, things got a little awkward during a conversation between co-hosts Nicolle Wallace and Raven-Symoné. The moment came while the women were discussing the fact that Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson wrote an article stating that he was no longer taking selfies with people. And Raven-Symoné lamented having to sign actual autographs because it made her hand cramp, and so she prefers to take selfies.

“You’re that famous?” Wallace asked Raven-Symoné while bursting into laughter.

“And that’s why I love you, Nicolle,” the former Cosby Show kid stated. “Keep me in check, as you should. Keep me right in check.”

Wallace attempted to clarify her statement, saying that in order to actually get a hand cramp, you’d have to sign a lot of autographs.

Raven-Symoné replied, “Back in the day, when I was famous. You know, when I had a TV show.”

Awww, that’s so un-Raven-like. You’d think that as much as she goes off on Twitter, she’d have a better retort. Twitter definitely got a good laugh out of the conversation.

Of course, Whoopi Goldberg also had to chime in on the conversation.

“Get over it,” Goldberg said. “You still got a TV show. You’re on this one.”

“I mean, I don’t have a problem with selfies as long as you ask me first,” Raven-Symoné said. “It’s different. Back in the days, there was Polaroids, I guess. But we listen to your talking and all of your points, and they’re saying they don’t like selfies because they are not able to look you in the eye.”
