Legendary hip-hop band the Roots has invited some of soul, R&B and rap's best to Philadelphia this weekend for the group's 5th Annual Roots Picnic. The two-day festival, which kicks off Saturday, June 2, at the Festival Pier at Penn Landing, features a diverse lineup of musical guests such as Diplo, Wale, Kid Cudi, St. Vincent and Tune-Yards.

On the opening day, De La Soul is scheduled to perform with the Roots backing them up. Plus, the Roots will provide the live music behind Rakim, who is set to rhyme his classic debut album, Paid in Full, on Sunday, June 3.
