President Obama and the first lady sat for an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show Wednesday, just hours after the White House released the president's official birth certificate.
It seems fitting that the show, which is ending next month after 25 years on the air, will include the Obamas in its last season. Full transcripts of the interview were embargoed except for an excerpt in which the president explains why he decided to release his birth certificate.
We’re not sure what Oprah asked the Obamas, but perhaps they discussed the 2012 campaign? We'll be tuning in Monday, May 2, at 4 p.m. EST to find out.
