The Root Celebrates 2013 The Root 100 Honorees

The Root celebrated The Root 100 class of 2013 with a gala event at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City Thursday night. Political consultant Angela Rye and David Johns, executive director of the White House Initiative for Educational Excellence for African Americans, were both named to the list for their achievement and influence.
