It’s not everyday you hear a rapper admit to almost being brought to tears, but that’s exactly what happened to when Snoop Dogg showed appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earlier this week. And the reason why might surprise you.

There to promote the current season of “The Voice” in which he debuts as a vocal coach, Snoop told Clarkson that while he’s enjoying “every minute” of being on the show, a recent conversation with fellow coach and popular singer jazz Michael Bublé almost made him cry.

“Michael Bublé came to set, and he was like, ‘My daughter loves your music, and they listen to it every day. And I’m like, ‘You lying!’ We actually sung it together, and it just touched me,” he explained.

He continued:

“Man that made me almost cry because I made those records for my grandkids and the kids around the world to have a piece of me that was rated G. The other ‘G.’ So we started making these records and started doing these visuals and started creating these characters, these live action characters and it just spread. People [are] playing it for kids in elementary school all around the world....It was so adorable that this music that I’m making is really reaching the kids for the right reasons.”

Snoop went on to share how grateful he was for the relationship he forged with the “I Haven’t Met You Yet” singer, explaining that he felt like they were lost souls who’ve finally found their way back to each other.

Bublé recounted the same story and shared similar sentiments, saying on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” back in September, “He was so cute. It really moved him. He’s a beautiful soul. He’s a beautiful soul.”
