It’s not everyday you hear a truly messy Hollywood story but thanks to the tea LisaRaye McCoy just spilled about her falling out with Nicole Murphy—we’ve got just that.
The story was recently shared in a shocking new interview with Carlos King for his “Reality With the King” podcast where McCoy detailed how her friendship with Murphy ended years ago and the alleged incident that incited it. She began the conversation by telling King that her own mother warned her against Murphy at her bachelorette party at the time before she married her then husband, former Turks and Caicos Premier Michael Misick, but she didn’t listen. What happened not too long after is where things get sticky.
McCoy went on to say that their friendship demise began after she checked the manifest of her private plane—which lists all staff and passengers—and saw that Murphy’s name was on there for trip to Turks and Caicos. The gag? The two of them hadn’t gone on a trip together.
“If you have a girlfriend that has her own island, I would think that you would call and say ‘hey girl, I’m coming.’ Because I was getting everybody to come. So why you would accept an invitation from him and you don’t even know him is unbeknownst to me. I don’t know how that could happen, do you? I guess not,” McCoy said in part.
She then went on to say that she attempted to confront Murphy over the phone about the trip, but she initially denied ever having been on the plane or traveling and hung up. After Murphy continued to ignore her repeated calls, she hit up NFL star Michael Strahan who was romantically involved with Murphy at the time to see if he knew anything about the trip.
When Strahan denied it—and as if things couldn’t get messier—McCoy sent him video evidence she found of the Murphy and Misick pulling up together to the private plane airstrip and her confronting them in person.
Unfortunately for us, that’s where that story ends but now we know there’s at least three additional people who know exactly how that situation got resolved. If any of those people are reading this and ever feel the need to cap this story, please feel free to. We’ll be waiting.
