There is some reported tension at “The View” over conditions at their new downtown digs, as sources say moderator Whoopi Goldberg is not happy about having to share some sacred space. According to RadarOnline, co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are making the biggest fuss about having to downsize their dressing rooms and share bathrooms with other shows that tape in the building, including “The Tamron Hall Show.”
And while the source says Hall has been doing her best to lighten the mood by leaving nice notes around for others to see, Whoopi is not feeling the love – adding that there is a hilarious reason why she wants to pee in peace.
After spending a decade at ABC’s headquarters on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the ladies of “The View” moved into a beautiful new studio space in Lower Manhattan in September 2024. But while the set is stunning, the tension is growing.
“The vibe is tense, with side-eyes and snide remarks flying. It’s like sharing a studio and dressing rooms is an insult,” the unnamed source close to the show told RadarOnline.
According to the source, Goldberg, who had one of the largest dressing rooms in the previous space, was used to having an en suite bathroom and shower at her disposal. But Whoopi, who is known for letting a few farts fly on set, wants to do her business in private. The source adds that her co-hosts, who have been on the receiving end of that gas, would like to keep it that way as well.
“It’s been an issue for a while. The ladies will be talking about a serious subject on air when, poof, they hear a sudden noise and they’re assailed by a foul smell,” they said.

Lets hope the ladies can find a compromise that works for everyone.
