Isaiah Mustafa is still turning heads as the Old Spice guy. After the first installment of the commercial series had 13 million hits on YouTube, the second installment is sending people into a viral frenzy. Part of this frenzy includes questioning why a black male sex symbol is able to have commercial appeal to a mixed demographic. The piece likens him to President Obama and his ability to reach across racial lines, even with a Muslim name. Black male sex symbols aren't new to us. Denzel Washington, Billy Dee Williams, Richard Roundtree or Boris Kodjoe, anyone? Glad mainstream America has finally come aboard.
