We TV has ordered a new season of reality television for the Braxton family!

The announcement of the series revival came this week during AMC Networks’ press tour for the Television Critics Association. The new series will be simply titled “The Braxtons” instead of reviving their old title “Braxton Family Values.”

This season will follow the sisters and their mother Dr. Evelyn, as they grieve Traci’s tragic death from a battle with esophageal cancer in March 2022. All of the remaining sisters will be participating in the series.

Storylines included: Toni’s Las Vegas Residency “Love & Laughter” with Cedric the Entertainer; Traci’s son leaning on the Braxton sisters after losing his mother; Dr. Evelyn’s developing love life; Tamar’s music career, and life as a single mother; and Trina and Towanda navigating their businesses and motherhood.

As we know, we can probably expect the sisters to give their usual petty fights, as all sisters do, but in a statement to Variety, Dr. Evelyn asked for grace and support.

“Thank you all for sharing our lives. I hope that through each one of our experiences, you’ll grow with us,” she said. “Inspiring you in your endeavors, and teaching you the importance of family, love, and experiencing life. Remember, we’re not perfect, we’re only human. Look at God.”

All of the sisters have had a whirlwind of a life since the last season that premiered in 2020, but we are all curious about how Tamar’s life will be portrayed on screen. Since the conclusion of “Braxton Family Values,” Tamar’s relationship status has been a mess. From her tumultuous on-an-off relationship with her ex, David Adefeso, to her “Queen’s Court” engagement to Jeremy “JR” Robinson in 2023.

The couple has gone through a series of cheating rumors and a broken engagement. Tamar was even beefing with reality star Chrisean Rock during her tour at the end of last year. Hopefully “The Braxtons” gives us all the juicy details of Tamar’s chaotic life lately.
