One of Hollywood’s biggest nights—the Oscars—took place last night at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel served as host for the fourth time, with Black Hollywood favorites Cord Jefferson and Da’Vine Joy Randolph taking home awards for their respective projects (“American Fiction” and “The Holdovers”). However, the ceremony wouldn’t be complete with a few red carpet trainwrecks from our beloved stars. Here are the biggest letdowns.
We love Erika Alexander. In fact, she has been a beloved actress for decades, but everything about her look—from the black velvet gloves to the tacky flower necklace to the multicolored tutu skirt—really was an all-around no.
Chrissy Marshall’s look reminded us of “I Dream Of Jeannie” but in the worst way possible.
Octavia Spencer is known for dressing in the most flattering way. There are entire Tiktok tutorials on how she dresses for her body. Her hair and makeup were on point for her Oscars look, but the ill-fitting sequin blazer (we get what she was going for) ruined the look.
