A major brawl broke out between 70 teenagers on the D.C. Metro this past weekend. Teenagers fought from one train stop to another on the Green and Yellow lines. They happened to fight on two of the busiest stops on the Metro — L'Enfant Plaza and Gallery Place, both in Chinatown. An eyewitness stated that she saw three teenagers spray another kid reading To Kill a Mockingbird in the face with an aerosol can before the melee began. Five people were hurt in the fight and ensuing crush, and an unknown number of others were injured. The sad part about it is in this day and age, we're not sure that parental supervision would have done anything to deter it. There are no words, other than embarrassing on so many levels.
