A Pennsylvania teen has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a classmate after authorities say he posted a selfie with the body of the dead teen on Snapchat.
According to WTAE, 16-year-old Maxwell Morton was identified as a suspect and later reportedly confessed to shooting classmate Ryan Mangan after Maxwell posted a Snapchat photo posing with Ryan's dead body. The Snapchat photo was used to charge Maxwell with murder, according to the news station.
Ryan's body was reportedly found in his home Wednesday. An unidentified woman told the news station that her son received a Snapchat photo from Maxwell that, she claimed, read, "Told you I cleaned up the shells," and "Ryan was not the last one."
Police searched Maxwell's home and reportedly found a 9 mm handgun in the basement and bullets that matched those found at the crime scene. The news station reported that Maxwell will be tried as an adult.
