CeeLo Green’s life just got a little less good. TBS announced late Tuesday that Green’s unscripted series CeeLo Green’s the Good Life has been canceled. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show only ran for six episodes and failed to be a ratings winner.

The network announced the cancellation on the heels of Green’s controversy surrounding tweets about rape. Although Green deleted the caustic tweets, he still received backlash from those on social media.  Green contended that women can only be raped if they’re conscious.

Green tweeted, “If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! So WITH implies consent,” Green wrote. “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!” he added.

On Friday, Green copped a plea deal in regards to supplying a woman with Ecstasy and was sentenced to three years’ formal probation and 45 days’ community service, as well as alcohol and drug counseling.

Once media got wind of Green’s tweets, women’s rights group UltraViolet created a petition to cancel Green’s show. The network denies that Green’s personal issues had anything to do with the cancellation, and that the move was solely based on ratings.

But wait, it gets better.

Tuesday night, Green reactivated his Twitter account and tweeted yet another “apology.”

I’m not sure when Green will celebrate his next birthday, but will someone please get this man a dictionary and make sure to highlight the definitions of rape and attributed?
