Tamar Braxton went HAM on social media Saturday after saying that a woman told her she’s pregnant by Vincent Herbert, Braxton’s estranged husband.
In a now deleted Instagram post, Braxton said that “Vincent Herbert is Having a baby” and that he’s now begging and pleading for her to take him back.
“Smh happy new year folks!! Ladies and gentlemen know that 2018 is a FRESH start and if i can leave this liar u can leave yours too,” Braxton added.
Although Herbert was in jail on Christmas Day, in a statement to People magazine, Braxton said that he wasn’t physically violent toward her.
“Cooparenting [sic] while going through a divorce is not a easy task,” she said. “While celebrating the Christmas holiday as a family, after a few drinks and some jealousy, things got a bit out of hand, which is common for most families during the holidays. In the midst of everything our family is going through things got heated and a bit exaggerated.
“To be clear, there was no physical interaction between Vince and me on Christmas,” she continued. “While I do not appreciate his lack of respect for our family and him allegedly impregnating another woman, I cannot paint him as a vicious abuser, that Vince is not.”
As someone who recently sat through a whole season of Braxton and Herbert’s antics on their WE tv reality show (blame my sister), how either of these people managed to deal with the other for 15 years is beyond me. From Braxton’s “I can dish it but can’t take it”-ness to Herbert’s micromanaging ways, it didn’t shock me when she announced in October that she was getting a divorce. But what is shocking is that Herbert found out about the divorce on social media.
During the last episode this season, Braxton also stated that she was willing to give up her music career in order to fix her marriage. But you’d think that since Herbert successfully managed Lady Gaga and helped make her who she is today, Braxton’s career would have skyrocketed by now.
So it’s probably safe to say that the world of R&B music will probably do just fine without Tamar Braxton.
