Jon Batiste has been on an incredible run for the last couple of years. While he’s always been a talented and respected artist, he has grown in popularity since the release of his 2021 album, “WE ARE.”

With that in mind, we’re taking a look at the unique Brooklyn home the Louisiana artist shares with his wife Suleika Jaouad, thanks to the good people at Architectural Digest.

This living is special not only because it’s a nice and relaxing space, but it’s also where Batiste and Jaouad got married (before it was filled with furniture and artwork).

Elephant bar

“Mr. Elephant” as Batiste and Jaouad call him. While it isn’t anything huge or fancy, it gets unique reactions from guests who see it in the corner of the living room.

While it may not stand out when you first look at it, the stars of this kitchen are the blue Tunisian tiles seen behind the stove.

Dinner table

Believe it or not, the coupld got their dinner table on Facebook Marketplace. In fact, Jaouad shared that more than half of the furniture in their home is from Facebook Marketplace. Guess you’re never too famous to buy from others.

Guest bedroom

If are lucky enough to be a guest in this home, this is where you would be sleeping. Also, notice that gramophone on the table? It was gifted by Oprah Winfrey and is from the set of “The Color Purple.”

Guest bathroom

This is the calming bathroom guests would be using if they were lucky to stay here. If you look closely in the top left corner, you’ll notice one of Batiste’s many Grammy awards.

Office/Painting studio

Here is Jaouad’s office. As a creative person in her own right, she needs a space to think and create. Many of the paintings above the couch are hers.

Dressing room

Although it’s in New York, Batiste and Jaouad managed to make a lot of space from them to get ready.

”Jon & Suleika’s” celesta

The couple was very intentional about making sure that there’s a piano in every room of the home. Luckily, they were able to find a celesta that fit in their closet.

Shower

While this is a very nice shower, Batiste and Jaouad admit that they enjoy taking baths more and soaking in water.

Bath

Here is the bath that gets a lot of use in this home. While it’s nothing fancy, it’s a calming space for the creative couple.

Sink

There’s no secret that this couple loves gold, as there are small hints of it throughout their Brooklyn home.

Master bedroom

This is where the couple rests. Oddly, it’s not filled with as much artwork and instruments as other parts of the home, but it’s the perfect fit for them to get their beauty sleep.

Basement

Thought it was over? There’s a basement in this home! While not as spacious as other areas, it’s just another place for Batiste and his wife to enjoy each other’s company. There’s even more Grammys down here!

Lounge

Probably the most calming place in this entire home. This is the lounge…a place that can be used for thinking, resting, or reflecting.
