Sylvester Stallone apparently ran back onstage at the 2016 Golden Globes and thanked Creed director Ryan Coogler and the film’s lead actor, Michael B. Jordan, after forgetting to do so during his acceptance speech.

Stallone caught a lot of backlash, especially by those who felt it was particularly important to acknowledge the two black men who resuscitated his Rocky franchise.

On Tuesday, Stallone tweeted an apology to Coogler and Jordan and referenced Samuel L. Jackson in the process, since Jackson was one of the vocal celebrities who gently put Stallone on blast for forgetting to thank Coogler and Jordan.
