Last August, rapper T-Pain made a public plea for people to help find Tavon Jackson, the man accused of killing his niece Jovana Glover while she was working at a West Tallahassee, Fla., Walgreens.
Jovana Glover’s death was captured on surveillance camera, and Jackson was seen fleeing the scene. And now, months later, Jackson’s body has been found in a wooded area in Tallahassee.
According to police, they suspect that Jackson, whose body was found Tuesday night, committed suicide after killing Glover because he was found wearing the same clothes he was seen wearing the day of Glover’s death. Family members say Glover and Jackson had been in a tumultuous two-year relationship at the time she was killed.
Jennifer Battles, Glover’s mother, emailed a statement to the Tallahassee Democrat, saying:
My family and I can begin the healing process in what has been an emotional roller coaster. I no longer have to worry about my granddaughter’s safety. I would like to thank the U.S. marshals and the Tallahassee Police Department. They worked tirelessly to bring justice to my family. I would also like to thank my family and friends for keeping me sane in the midst of it all.
