Super Bowl 50: Twitter Reacts to Beyoncé and Bruno Mars’ Halftime Show

Beyoncé and Bruno Mars were the talk of Super Bowl 50’s halftime show. Of course, they weren’t billed as the opening act; that was Coldplay. But you couldn’t tell social media that.

As Coldplay opened the Super Bowl, the group’s performance was a bit of a snoozefest. Chris Martin jumped around some. He sung an old song. Most people were just entertaining the performance because they knew, soon enough, that magic would happen.

After Coldplay’s performance, Bruno Mars, with his perfectly coiffed hair and his dancers, was a sight to behold and definitely got people hyped.

And then the moment people were waiting for happened.

Beyoncé, dressed in a way similar to Michael Jackson, came out with a slew of dancers in Black Panther gear and did the damn thing. Now, let me remind you, I am not part of the Beyhive. But I’m also not one of those people who will dissect every little thing she does. Or someone who vehemently hates her. I like hot sauce, though. And if Bey’s performance Sunday night were hot sauce, it would be the hottest sauce out there.

Of course, Beyoncé performed to her newly released single, “Formation,” and some people called it the “blackest” Beyoncé song ever.

So what happens when you put Beyoncé and Bruno Mars onstage together? Twitter erupts:

And let’s not forget, Beyoncé used the opportunity to announce her upcoming Formation World Tour. The tickets go on sale Tuesday, and I’m sure people are already counting their coins.
