Here’s a not-so-Scandal-ous approach to easy spring makeup: Longtime Neutrogena campaign star Kerry Washington has applied her ever tasteful eye to a pair of spring palettes for the dermatologist-recommended brand.

Offering five neutral, smudge-proof shades for eyes with a promise to last up to 12 hours (thanks to built-in primer) and three shades for freshly flushed cheeks, the Essential Eye and Cheek palettes promise to be melanin-friendly. What’s more? Each color is named for a quality that Washington values. For eyes, there’s Brilliant (ivory), Confident (sand), Flirty (peachy brown), Focused (golden brown) and Powerful (deep brown); for cheeks, Grateful (matte warm contour), Captivating (coral) and Elegant (highlighter).

As shared with WWD, the palettes are part of Neutrogena’s new move toward “color innovation.” Washington purportedly played with the shades at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar party (as seen above).

Unfortunately, these palettes don’t come with a white hat or a red-wine-and-popcorn combo, but if you’re looking for foolproof spring beauty at an unbeatable price—$9.99 for cheeks and $12.99 for eyes—I think it’s safe to say, “It’s handled.”
