Do you remember the "Who's better?" contests of the 1980s regarding Prince and Michael Jackson? Everyone had his or her favorite, even though they were both giants in the music industry and creative geniuses. Well, we're happy to report that both artists have songs being inducted into the 2011 Grammy Hall of Fame. Al Green's "Take Me to the River," The Marvelettes' "Please Mr. Postman," Blind Willie Johnson's "Dark Was the Night — Cold Was the Ground," along with "Do Nothin' Till You Hear From Me," by Duke Ellington and His Orchestra Featuring Al Hibbler; Genius + Soul = Jazz, by Ray Charles (album); Jimmy Cliff's "Many Rivers to Cross"; and "Walking to New Orleans," by Fats Domino, join Prince and the Revolution's "Purple Rain" and the Jackson 5's "I'll Be There." Did we mention that Willie Nelson and Joan Baez also received nods? Congratulations to the 2011 inductees.
