โ€œMuhammad Ali said far more inflammatory/racist things about white people than Donald Trump ever has about Muslims #fact,โ€ Morgan wrote on Twitter Sunday morning.

Of course, no one was feeling the comparison, especially since it came days after Aliโ€™s death.

Once Morgan realized that once again he was public enemy No. 1, he offered that people should not rush to sugarcoat his own life when he is dead and gone. John Legendย offered some well-needed advice to Morgan.

Morganย attempted to defend his comments on Mondayโ€™s Good Morning Britain.

โ€œThere was another side to Ali; he was incredibly controversial,โ€ Morgan stated.

โ€œHis preferred world is segregated. Black people living with black people, white people living with white people,โ€ he continued.

Morgan eventually apologized for his original tweet, but something tells me heโ€™s not at all sorry.

โ€œIโ€™m sorry for โ€˜saying inflammatory things for attention.โ€™ Thatโ€™s the last thing Muhammad Ali would have condoned,โ€ he wrote.
