On Friday (May 17), a shocking video was released which shows Sean “Diddy” Combs physically attacking ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. In the 2016 surveillance footage, which was obtained exclusively by CNN, Combs can be seen grabbing, pushing and kicking Ventura.

The clip aligns with an incident that Ventura described in a now-settled federal lawsuit that she filed against the mogul in November. The violent incident happened at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles and is dated March 5, 2016.

Social media is in an uproar as “Diddy” currently trends on X. One user, @spicebae, wrote: “if this is what Diddy was doing to Cassie outside of their private home and room, i can’t imagine everything else she’s endured. LOCK HIM TF UP RIGHT NOW”

Another X personality, @MasinElije, explained the importance of supporting and believing Black women. “I stood with Cassie BEFORE seeing her proof, but I absolutely am BAFFLED in what I just watched. Diddy, punching her in the head, throwing her to the floor, kicking her, dragging her? This is why you should believe victims when they speak. Everyone ain’t lying”

Yashar Ali held nothing back when he stated regarding the video: “I want to note that Kimora Lee Simmons has warned people about Diddy’s conduct for years, and she has either been attacked for doing so or ignored. Diddy also threatened to hit her when she was pregnant.”

Another user, @ImanEurope, expressed pride for Ventura’s courage for speaking out. “diddy is f**king disgusting. attempting to change his name to ‘Love’ after treating a woman like that is some of the nastiest, most manipulative work i’ve ever seen. pack him up for good. i’m so proud of cassie for getting out.”

Songwriter Johnta Austin was more blunt in his assessment of the video footage. “F*ck dudes who beat women!” he exclaimed on X.

When Ventura’s claims were made public, some folks — and a few prominent celebrities — expressed skepticism regarding the allegations. Some even insisted she was solely after Combs’ money. However, with this disturbing video coming to light, Combs is wholly indefensible.
