For one reason or another, Shannon Sharpe is always in the news. Whether it has to do with his revealing interviews with celebrities, or his outlandish comments on ESPN, someone always has something to say about the three-time Super Bowl champion.

In this case, Sharpe did nothing except post a video to his TikTok account. The clip simply shows him visiting a wine store, so he can see how his luxury cognac, Shay by Le Portier, is selling.

Looks innocent, right? Not to the rest of social media. They have since made the clip a meme, making fun of the way the Hall of Fame tight-end dresses and walks, claiming that he’s walking in a feminine way.

This is of course, a little unfair to a former NFL player. But still, that hasn’t stopped social creators from recreating the video with some amusing skits. Watch some of them below.

Social media moves fast, huh? Sharpe posted his initial video less than a couple of days ago and there are already dozens of skits making fun of his innocent post.

Despite the jokes, Sharpe hasn’t even acknowledged the discourse, simply going on with his life. Instead, many of his followers have decided to come to his defense, telling people to leave the popular TV personality alone, explaining that he walks the way he does because he’s been through multiple hip, knee, and ankle surgeries.

Many other people defended him on X, with one person commenting, “Bro had his hip and both knees replaced in case anybody wondering why he looks like that.”

Another user wrote, “Guys, he’s a 55-year-old ex-football player. Can we stop hating on him and be grateful that he is alive and mentally stable?”

We couldn’t agree more.
