From Ciara to Alicia Keys to our favorite billionaire beauty Rihanna, it’s not unusual for celebrities to get into the beauty business. But it’s not every day that a celebrity launches a beauty brand that has the internet completely divided – that’s where Sexyy Red comes in.

In an August 19 Instagram post, the 26-year-old rapper announced her revamped lip gloss line, Northside Princess, with a series of photos she captioned, “BO$$ LADY SPEAKIN 🗣️…. New and improved @sexyyred_products is back better den eva !!”

Although it may seem like a no brainer for someone who goes by the name Sexyy Red to jump into the makeup game, the always-provocative rapper is pushing the envelope with this line and causing some to say her new products are anything but sexy.

With shade names like “Coochie Juice,” “Yellow Discharge” and “Gonorrhea,” you might be a little embarrassed to ask for these glosses at your local Sephora or Ulta store.

Some die-hard Sexxy Red fans shared that they can’t wait to get their hands on the new and improved line.

“Where I can purchase that set of glosses!!! I need them in my life!” wrote one commenter.

“Go sexyyyy 😍😍🔥🔥🔥” wrote another.

But others questioned the questionable shade names in the comments of her post.

“I wanted them until I saw the names 😭😭😭” wrote someone.

“Come on now it’s getting hard to Defend you 😩,” wrote another.

Other commenters took it a step further, calling on the “Get it Sexyy” artist to set a better example for her young fans.

“Stop! Do better! I get it, its an easy way to make MONEY BUT show the world that you are a classy, intelligent Black woman! Be a woman kids can look up to! You have the platform, use it wisely!” wrote someone.

Whether you think the names are marketing genius or completely disgusting, one thing’s for sure – Sexyy Red has plenty of people talking.
